Robin Hood is one of the most famed characters of all time and through the years, there have been many cinematic iterations of his story (versions starring Douglas Fairbanks, Kevin Costner, and Russell Crow among them) but this colorful 1938 swashbuckler starring a charismatic Errol Flynn and a stunning Olivia de Havilland might be the best. “The Adventures of Robin Hood” features Flynn in the title role, a beloved bandit who would famously steal from the rich and give to the poor but that was only but a small part of the story.
