About the Event
*UPDATE* Hello to our wonderful (and supportive) attendees. Sadly, we have to postpone our Electric Film Series Silent Era event on Tuesday, January 18th. It's been bumped to Tuesday, January 25th. Very sorry for the late notice but just know that it was out of our control. That said, we hope you'll join us on the 25th for what promises to be a magical night at the movies.

FMASU proudly presents The Electric Film Series - A Journey Through the History of Film: Volume 2.
We're taking audiences on a cinematic adventure that spans over a century of film…
Once a month throughout 2022...
And it’s completely free to the community!
The Electric Film Series returns for a highly anticipated 2022 season at the historic Electric Theater on Tuesday, January 18th, at 6 PM (Doors at 5:30 PM) with Silent Film Night–A triple feature of short films from the 1900’s and 1910’s;
“The Impossible Voyage” (1904) “The Tramp” (1915) “Coney Island” (1917) -------------------------------------------- FMASU’s exploration through a century of the film begins with a look at the silent film era. It will include “The Impossible Voyage” from “A Trip to the Moon” director Georges Méliès, the legendary, Charlie Chaplin-headlined “The Tramp,” and “Coney Island” featuring silent film legends Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle and Buster Keaton. These incredible, influential short films will include live piano accompaniment by the gifted Matt Szymanski (Band Director/Music Teacher at Tonaquint Intermediate), and this will only add to the magic of the evening.
This wonderful tribute to the Silent Film Era will include intros and a post-screening discussion by JakCine Entertainment co-founder, Jason Jackson. In addition to being a wonderful screenwriter and cinema event coordinator, Jackson is also quite the film historian making him the perfect special guest for our 2022 Electric Film Series opening event.
Be sure to arrive at the screening a little early and leave a donation. This optional donation will get you a delicious menu item from Riggatti's to enjoy during the post-screening discussion or, you can feel free to take it home with you following the movie.
And as always, you can expect a few surprises at this must-attend Silent Film Night event so be sure to spread the word by sharing this event.
